Atlanta Fed: Business Expectations For Capital Spending Up For Third Straight Month (10/01/2019)

Breitbart (9/25, Carney) reported the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank’s Business Expectations survey found that “business expectations for capital spending over the next twelve months rose in September,” for the third month in a row, and “the gauge is at the highest level recorded in the five-year life of the survey.” Meanwhile, there was “a sharp decline in expectations for growth in employment,” which is attributed to “the tightness of the labor market.” Also, “the Survey’s Business Uncertainty index” fell “its lowest level since March.”
